So, whats the relation between TvTime and Kannada? some of you reading this title might be wondering. There is! Kannada rendering on Linux, Ubuntu Linux - especially, breaks up once you install TvTime. The ttf-free-fonts package that gets installed with TvTime is the real culprit.

There were many requests to add a javascript keyboard on [:http://sampada.net|Sampada] on the lines of a Marathi site, but I was caught contemplating about the pros and cons of adding such a thing on Sampada.

There were not many Kannada pages to be seen then on the Internet (at least in Unicode). Things have changed quite a lot in between. There's lot of content now in Kannada.

Kannada wikipedia makes it to 200 articles

Kannada wikipedia now has 200 articles in its garner. Whats more fascinating is the fact that it is now one of the largest kannada content site on the internet with more than 1600 pages in its database. :) I'm sure more people would wake up to it and take part in the knowledge revolution. It would be nice to see something that would be the first knowledge base of its own kind in Kannada.
