Kannada Videocast and Podcast: Science writing in Kannada

When almost everyone seemed to have thought we were done with podcasts at [:http://sampada.net|Sampada], we've done it again. This time, we have an episode which marks the first of several podcasts about writing Science and Technology in Kannada. There are several new stuff this time. We have a [:http://rlp.in|professional document film maker] capturing and editing the video of the interview. There is unique and professional editing of the audio, video and much more new stuff. This edition carries an interview with the legendary Kannada writer G T Narayana Rao who's role was phenomenal in bringing out the Kannada Encyclopedia of Mysore University (most popularly known as Kannada Vishwakosha). His writings in Kannada about Science, particularly Astronomy has [:http://ismail.in/node/12|inspired a generation of writers]. Not only is Kannada Vishwakosha the only encyclopedia in Kannada covering diverse set of topics, but also the best thing that happened to Kannada in modern times of changing language significance and usage in the region. Like the last time, audio for the podcast is also available in ogg format. The video plays on all systems that have Adobe flash plug-in installed for the browser. The whole thing was a nice team effort and much of the credit goes to [:http://ismail.in|Ismail] and [:http://rlp.in|Abhay] for handling it all quite well. We're keen to see more people participating in these in near future. Also, any encouragement received this time would surely translate into more similar efforts.
