Participation in the second edition of GNU/Linux Habba was huge. Close to 150 people turned up and the response was overwhelming. It was well above the capacity of the venue. I would have been much happier had the program been entirely in Kannada as was intended earlier. Our Mysore volunteers seemed to have a penchant for English (even in an event planned to be in Kannada) which took me by a little surprise. It was nice to meet several veterans in Mysore working around Technology and Kannada. The huge campus of Mysore University reigned by peace on Sunday looked as calm as ever despite all the activity at the Einstein Auditorium. There are few CDs left among the ones that were readied for this edition of GNU/Linux Habba. There's a plan to give them off to those who may need it for a nominal fee rather than distributing it free of cost just to ensure that it reaches only those who need it. I'll post more details about this later today. I've posted a round-up of yesterday on my Kannada blog.
