The themes demo page is back online, now running the latest Wordpress code.

For past two weeks, many emails have landed in my mailbox asking theme updates for Wordpress 2.0, on few of the themes I had made available earlier. Here they are finally, and on time too. Wordpress 2.0 was released just few days back. So, I didn't let you all down, anyway. :)

This was long due... many of the Blue Radiant users had emailed me asking for few changes in the theme. Here they are. As is evident from the statistics and number of downloads, this theme has thus far been the most popular among all the Wordpress themes I've designed. The updated release is for WordPress 1.5.x and 2.0. Though the updated version is not fully ready for Wordpress 2.0, yet, it works fine under that. I'll discontinue maintaining the old (0.1 version) of Blue Radiant from now on and build over this new one (1.4). Changes include:

• New Top menu listing the pages.
• XHTML now validates.
• Wider middle column.

Several readers of my blog had mailed me asking the files of the Parishuddha_hp theme (the simple theme that made up the design of my own blog until yesterday). Here it is now. I'm no longer using it on my blog, so you can take it, modify it and use it. (But just make sure you retain the credits and a link back).

I'm feeling relaxed today, after a long time, having completed all my backlogs and almost all that work I had committed to. Have glued onto a very nice Kannada novel called "RangaNNana kanasina DinagaLu", for a change. :)

For all those of you who mailed me regarding my Wordpress themes on these days (for last one month), I'm terribly sorry for not having replied. I couldn't reply to most of the mails, but *I did* read them all.
Now that I'm back again and have plenty of free time ahead, you can expect some updates to all the themes and watch out for more goodies :)

I've also planned major updates to this site. The stats say that there has been a good surge of visitors to my blog, and so it deserves some revamping and restructuring. Currently, this blog runs Wordpress, but I'm planning to switch to drupal completely, so all the WordPress themes I make available for free from now on would also be ported to drupal. yay.
I'll also be porting the Blue Radiant theme (thats very much popular with Wordpress users) to Drupal shortly. So, watch out for all the updates.

Recently, we started Podcasts on Sampada, and the response has been really good. Almost 150 downloads of MP3 file of the interview with Maanya K P Purnachandra Tejasvi within 10 days of posting it came as a pleasant surprise. There would soon be the next edition of the podcast... on Monday, maybe. This time around we stirred up some nice conversation with Dr. Chandrashekar Kambar. :)

Since Sampada has been growing at a good pace (although there hasn't been the expected amount of article submissions), I changed its interface quite significantly in last few days whenever I got around to do that to adapt to the increasing user base. So, all Kannadigas who've been reading my blog here, visit Sampada today and help us figure out whether the new setup is working to the desired effect or not ;) (The stats and logs would tell me whether its working and you can save your comments if you don't want to add them ;) )

Well, I'm late at this. Nevertheless, following the popular trend among hobbyist wordpress theme makers, I too have setup a demo blog for wordpress themes designed by me.

Now, folks visiting my blog for themes can view the demo of those here itself. Plenty of updates coming up for all the themes I've designed. So, keep checking back.
