It is more 'noise' than news these days on National News channels. The only few that were exceptions have also joined the race. Whether this is a useful trend, we will have to wait and see.

Morons
Dr. Rajkumar's [:http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZqGSA4n3kMo|this particular song] from an old film [:http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZqGSA4n3kMo|has gathered] lots of peevish comments from people who conspicuously are non-Kannadigas.
Art of Living Foundation and us
I'm no great fan of the Art of Living Foundation. I'm not a follower of RaviShankar, as well. But the good thing about the personality is that he isn't like the other bunch of gurus of India. He isn't a guru who conjures golden rings from nowhere; he isn't a guru who calls himself the avatar of god. He just seems to preach the very fundamental stuff that most of us are familiar with.
Sampada
First, it was the Kannada Community on Live Journal. Next, the orkut community for Kannada. Later, Kannada wikipedia.
Now, its Sampada. God knows when the craziness is going to stop. But, you can stop by and enjoy the articles on Sampada and scribble something as well. The initiative's been doing really well and we've got some nice folks participating.
Become a part of it and spread the word around. And yeah, its a non-profit initiative. :)
Sepia Mutiny
Community blogs aren't new. But these folks have done it with a difference. Sepia Mutiny is on my 'daily read' list now :)
Cultural & Intellectual Texts of India
How about some of those very much hunted old texts in Sanskrit? How is it when you get it in your own language? ;)
Here's that pandora's box. It has Bhagavadhgita, Meghadhutam, NyaayasUtra, Rigveda-Pratishakhya, Tarka Sangraha in Kannada, Sanskrit, Gujarati and Telugu; Adding to those, there are Ashtaadhyaayi, Apishaala shiksha, Taittiriya-Pratishakhya. Lets bow to whoever has done this nice work! :)
Also, found hanuman Chalisa re-written in Kannada script today... Get it here.
